About Us

Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC), in Kalyani, West Bengal, India offers undergraduate (B.Tech.) and postgraduate (M.Tech., M.C.A.) engineering degree courses under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). The institution is regulated, operated and sponsored by The Government of West Bengal. KGEC is ranked 10 in all India rankings of Top 100 Engineering College in India in 2012. As per survey conducted by The Telegraph, it is ranked 5th best engineering college in West Bengal which admits through WBJEE. But according to opening and closing ranks in WBJEE, it comes just after Jadavpur University. It has a strong faculty team with quality previous experience in reputed government technical institutions all over India. Established in the year 1995 by the Government of West Bengal.

The college is located beside the University of Kalyani Campus, Kalyani Township, District Nadia, West Bengal. Kalyani is 53 km. from the Sealdah Railway station (Eastern Railways) of Kolkata and also connected through Kalyani Expressway. The railway station nearest to the College is Kalyani Ghoshpara, about 2 km. away from the venue. CICBA-2018 will be hosted at Kalyani Government Engineering College, Kalyani, West Bengal, India on July 27-28, 2018. It will be a major conference organized with the objective of bringing together researchers, developers and practitioners from academia and industry working in the area of Computational intelligence, Communications and Business Analytics in computer science and engineering, general science, educational research and management science. CICBA 2018 will cover all aspects of Computational intelligence, Communications and Business Analytics in computer science and engineering, general science, educational research and management science. Paper Submission

Full papers (upto 15 pages) in the CCIS one-column page format without author information, must be submitted through Easy Chair portal

Submission Guidelines

Paper length should be within 15 pages in the Springer CCIS one-column format. All submissions are required to follow the Springer stipulations and are subject to screening for plagiarism by iThenticate®. Double blind review system will be followed and each paper will be reviewed by at least three reviewers

Each submitted paper will undergo double blind review process after initial scrutiny. Papers not conforming to the ‘Springer Proceedings Macros’ will be rejected. The CICBA-2018 Program Committee regards plagiarism as a serious professional misconduct. All submissions will be screened for plagiarism by iThenticate®, and when identified, the submissions by the same author will be rejected at any stage of the conference even after the conference and after the publication of the proceedings online from the springer. The question of reimbursement of registration fees will not be applicable here.

Names and Affiliations of the authors must NOT be included anywhere in the paper during the initial submission. For the peer review purpose, self-references are NOT permitted. If the author needs to refer his/her own paper the reference MUST be made in third person in text description of the submitted article. Any attempt to reveal author details and affiliation at the time of initial submission will lead to rejection summarily of the paper without further processing.

All papers that conform to submission guidelines will be evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. Acceptance of papers will be communicated to authors by email. The authors of the accepted papers will be allowed to make corrections in accordance with the suggestions of the reviewers and submit final camera-ready papers within the stipulated deadline. All camera ready papers must be prepared in conformance with reviewer’s report.

Formatting guidelines

All authors have to follow Springer's guidelines for writing the paper. Springer's latex and word template should be used for writing the paper.


Registration

Each paper should be registered separately with full registration fee. Papers only of student authors are eligible for Student registrations. Research scholars will not be considered as any category of student. Details of Registration Fees will be notified in the conference website.

According to CICBA-2018 a paper accepted after peer-review will be included in the proceedings only if the followings are complied exhaustively

  • Registered by at least one of the authors.
  • Accepted paper is presented in the conference.
  • Springer as the publisher will conduct exhaustive semantic evaluation of each end every camera ready submission before including it in the proceedings. In case any submission contains information that is semantically unacceptable may not be considered of being included in the proceedings.
  • Change of authors (inclusion/exclusion and/or order of authorship) will not be permitted at any subsequent stage.
  • The order of authorship available at the initial time of submission will be maintained throughout.
  • Accepted paper in camera ready form must comply iThenticate® Plagiarism test conducted religously and rigorously by Springer itself. If a paper fails to satisfy the same, its publication possibility may summarily be rejected by the publisher on this ground. Plagiarised contents, self or otherwise will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • Springer as the publisher will conduct exhaustive semantic evaluation of each end every camera ready submission before including it in the proceedings. In case any submission contains information that is semantically unacceptable may not be considered of being included in the proceedings.

Dear Authors,
If you are interested to stay in the conference venue you have to pay Rs 1200/- per night per room for single shared A/C and Rs 600/- per night per person for double shared accommodation (GST extra) along with the registration fees. The accommodation has been arranged in the International Guest House of the University of Kalyani located in the same campus of Kalyani Government Engineering College. The room will be booked exclusively on receipt of payment of guest house charge only on the first come first serve basis. Without advance payment no request for booking of Guest House will be considered.
